From the towering spire of Raley Chapel to the historic stained glass of Stubble field Chapel, Oklahoma Baptist University offers visitors a wide range of views and events. OBU provides many of the classic fixtures of a liberal arts university, with a quadrangle, an oval drive, picturesque water fountains, and even a golden bison statue in tribute to the university's mascot.
While the 189-acre campus, known as Bison Hill, stands on the highest point of land in the community, OBU offers more than scenic beauty. Through-out the year, numerous events are offered for students and guests including musical and theatrical performances, athletic contests, art presentations, and planetarium programs. OBU has an average enrollment of approximately 2,200 students coming from nearly every state in the Union and more than 25 foreign countries. Today, OBU has in excess of 20,000 alumni scattered across all 50 states and 60 foreign countries.
The university offers nine different bachelor's degrees, with more than 75 majors. OBU has five schools and colleges: arts and sciences, fine arts, Christian service, business and nursing. For ten consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report has listed OBU as one of the top ten regional liberal arts colleges in the western United States.
