April 20-21 is the Redbud Festival which kicks off on Friday night with a free Community Dinner right on Main Street. This year the free dinner will be a Blue Zones Project inspired dinner of pasta, fruit, veggies, and hummus. Guests are also welcome to purchase food from any of the restaurants along Main Street or even pack a lunch and bring it. The purpose of the event is to create an atmosphere of community and encourage individuals to step outside their comfort zone and get to know a stranger. Saturday will feature vendors, live music, entertainment, and food from 11 am- 5 pm.

Boo on Bell
One of Oklahoma's premiere Halloween festivals, Boo on Bell takes place the third weekend in October in downtown Shawnee and features a carnival, zombie march, trick or treating, live entertainment, and food.

The annual Christmas parade will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018. This year's theme is "It's a 50s Christmas" and the grand marshal will be Boom-A-Rang. The parade begins at 7 p.m.

Trail Days, which takes place the third weekend in June, is undergoing some changes this year and will feature an art walk and wine tasting. Trail Days will not only feature wine and art but other vendors, live entertainment, and food trucks.

Christmas Tree Lighting
The Christmas Tree Lighting is held in conjunction with the November Downtown Block Party, which is the third Friday of the month. In addition to the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, there are vendors, live music and entertainment, and food trucks.

Downtown Block Parties
Downtown Block Parties take place each month on the third Friday from 6-9 p.m. When the weather is nice, vendors and food trucks set up in Celebration of Life Park on the corner of Main and Philadelphia. Shops and restaurants located on Main Street stay open a little later to allow for visitors to eat, browse, and stroll. New in 2018, the downtown block parties will feature a farmer's market.
