Scooters come to Shawnee!

As of November 2021, you can zip around Shawnee on unique docking e-scooters! Docks are located across downtown and in several places on the OBU campus.

Where are the scooter docks?
OBU has several docks across campus, including at Shawnee Hall & the Geiger Center. Downtown docks include:
Theopolis Social Club @ 421 E Main
Healthy Hive @ Main & Bell
Coffee N' Crafts @ 5 E Main
Stuart & Clover @ 9th & Broadway
On Beard St. just north of Main
How do I rent a scooter?
The scooters require downloading the app “White Fox - Docked Scooters.” Follow the prompts to rent, reserve and pay for your scooter.
How much does it cost? How do I end my rental?
Most rentals are $1.00 to unlock, then $0.25 per minute or $0.10 per paused minute. You must redock and return your scooter via app to end your charges. If you do not redock, charges will continue to accrue.
How far can I go? Where can I go?
An estimated distance on your scooter’s charge will appear at the time of rental on the app. Scooters can go several miles on a charge. White Fox Scooters has blocked out certain busy streets that are not allowed, such as Kickapoo and Harrison. Your app will alert you if you near the out-of-bounds areas. All traffic laws must be followed.
How old do I have to be to rent a scooter? Can I get one for my child?
Rider must be at least 18 years old.
Can I ride with a friend?
No. The scooter is designed for one rider at a time.
