Shawnee High School Alumni Museum
Memorabilia from various decades is on display, including items from famous Shawnee natives, astronaut Gordon Cooper (class of ‘45) and former Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry (class of ‘81).
The museum also includes several Shawnee Wolves letter jackets; a 1949 letter sweater; about 40 Caldron yearbooks dating to 1916; trophies from a variety of events; hundreds of pictures from the 1930s to the '70s; SHS Football Hall of Fame photos; football, basketball and commencement programs; and a few SHS class rings.
Thirty or forty SHS band pictures from over the years are in the collection. Also on display are trophies won by Patsy Rippy, who went from Shawnee High School to tennis stardom in the 1960s.
The museum is open by appointment only.
