Gordon Cooper Technology Center offers facilities for conferences as an additional service to the community. Our primary responsibility is that of a technology training center, and is bound by all state laws and regulations governing public school districts. Amenities, staffing, and services may not be the same as traditional conferencing facilities. about the destination Gordon Cooper's Public Safety Training Center is a $5 million facility completed in 2020 that features several event spaces, including the Enterprise room which seats 120 and includes a catering kitchen, stage, state of the art audio/visual for conferences and trainings, and furniture that can be set up for a variety of different styles of event. Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center and Gift Shop Indoor, Banquet about renting The "Long Room" houses special exhibits, but is also available for rent for banquets and meetings. Contact the center for more info. about the destination Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s Cultural Heritage Center exists to educate tribal members, the greater Native American community and other visitors about the historical and contemporary aspects of the tribe. The newly renovated galleries feature tribal history ranging from pre-contact history to present day. Tours are available for schools and groups. Admission is free. The Cultural Heritage Center also features the "Long Room" which houses special exhibits and is available for meetings and events. Outside the facility, visitors will find the Bourbannais’ Cabin, built by original Potawatomi settlers. It was the first home built in “Shawneetown” prior to the land run. The Cultural Heritage Center also houses the Potawatomi gift shop which features authentic, locally made Native American gifts.
