House of Flowers was able to have this piece of public art because of the removal of a deli and permission of the apartments that were next to the House of Flowers. House of Flowers wanted to create a piece of public art that would be visible to people on Kickapoo. Owner, Marta Land believes that the colorful and cheerful characteristic of the mural represents the House of Flowers brand as well as the artsy, unique side of Shawnee, OK.
