Fall means cooler weather and annual fun in Shawnee. Between all the outdoor opportunities and the many events this time of year, you will want to spend a few weekends in Shawnee to experience it all.
Here’s our favorite fall fun in Shawnee:
Sunshine Shelly’s Pumpkin Patch is 20 acres of fun for the whole family! Farm grown Pumpkins, a 5 acre Corn Maze, kiddie maze, corn pits, big trykes, hayride and so much more including special events like movie nights.
Arrow’s Family Farm in neighboring Earlsboro offers a similar experience.
Boo on Bell is an annual fall festival that celebrates the autumn season with family-friendly activities. Costume contests and trick-or-treating on Bell Street in Downtown Shawnee plus ghost stories and games, and carnival rides. This year's Boo on Bell is October 28th-30th!
Fall and football go together like Brad Pitt and George Clooney in movies. In Shawnee, we cheer for the OBU Bison. Oklahoma Baptist compete in the Great American Conference and see some of the best in NCAA Division 2 teams. Find their schedule here.
See the changing leaves at the National Arboretum at Oklahoma Baptist University. There are more than 300 trees & shrubs on campus representing 134 different species, including a seedling from the OKC Bombing's Survivor Tree. Pack your walking shoes!
Also pack your hiking boots because there’s a lot more outdoors to explore in and around Shawnee. Twin Lakes, neighboring Lake Thunderbird – a state park, and the Ravine Outdoor Adventure Park. Great overview of the outdoor activities is here.
The fall events calendar includes craft shows and other shopping opportunities, horse shows, rodeos, red dirt kart racing, and more. Find your fun experience on our Events Calendar.
