Founded in 1919, the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is the oldest art museum in Oklahoma! Its namesake, Father Gregory Gerrer, was a colorful Benedictine monk who collected objects throughout his travels to Europe, Africa and South America. It is home to Oklahoma's only Egyptian mummy, in addition to an exquisite collection of artifacts and art from over 8,000 years of human history.
The museum hosts limited exhibits throughout the year in addition to workshops and other events to bring art and art history to people of all ages.
